The sidebar on the right includes a list of users who have contributed to this page, including some of their basic stats. By unchecking the "include" checkbox, the content of the page will change. Only the endorsed items of those who are included in the page will remain visible.
The sidebar on the right (see the "People" box) includes a list of users who have contributed to this page, including some of their basic stats. By unchecking the "include" checkbox, the content of the page will change. Only the endorsed items of those who are included in the page will remain visible.
This system allows you to filter out contributors who you do not value. It also encourages users to make positive contributions in order to be heard.
The "Display" box in the sidebar makes the user able to filter out item types in the page to make it clearer. For example, checking the "blocked" checkbox will allow you to see items that have been blocked for some reason.
You can click on any paragraph to see more details.
How Endorsements work
Any logged in user can "endorse" an item, by clicking the circular buttons to the right of each item until they turn green. An endorsement means that the person approves an item, and instead of duplicating sentiments to show support, he or she simply endorses it, as if to say, "I would say the same thing".
Each contributor on this page has a map of their endorsements, or perspectives. By checking/unchecking individual users on the "People" column, one can overlay individual perspectives with each other. The more individual perspectives you include, the more one can see the perspective of the group of contributors as a whole.

I don't know what I don't know. :)
There is something wrong. I don't see my own comments unless I check 'unendorsed', although my comment was auto-endorsed.
Probably own comments (and other items) should be always visible, otherwise it easily leads to duplicate submissions.
Could you check to see if you have the "Anonymous Users" included (checked) on the sidebar to your right? This specific page excludes contributions from Anonymous users by default - other pages do not allow anonymous edits at all. Once you have an account, this problem shouldn't crop up...

This is nonsensical jibberish and not required. (Of course you prob will leave as this is the sandbox area and this is for playing in).
How would you prevent 100 users like Mr Troll from confusing a page with jibberish - would there be a criteria by which users could be screened, prior to making their comments public?
i.e.
Auto-block persons who are anonymous, so that their names must be unchecked if people wish to view anonymous users;
Create a minimum number of comments requirement before users are published on the front page
Create a filter (defaulted to 20) whereby the top rated users on a given page or pages are displayed - other users are only displayed by widening the filter.
This is flagrant trolling of the site - in a real article a number of people would raise an objection to this and subsequently it should be auto-blocked...?
To exclude items from certain people, uncheck the checkbox labelled "Include" next to the people in question, in the sidebar. This removes their contributions from the page.
See if you can't block this one (make sure you enable it again)
